We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that faith comes by hearing the word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17, Rom. 10:17)
-
We believe that "there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all." 1 Tim. 2:5-6
-
We believe that "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Rom. 10:9, 1 John 4:15
-
We believe that we are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves, lest anyone should boast. Eph. 2:8-10
-
We believe in the triune nature of God. As John wrote: "For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one." 1 John 5:7
-
We believe in the active work of the Holy Spirit in our time and the laying on of hands (Heb 6:1). "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." John 7:38
-
We believe we have an obligation to evangelize, as Jesus said: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matt. 28:19-20
-
We believe in two essential sacraments: Holy Communion (Luke 22:19) and water baptism (Matt. 3:15, 28:19)
-
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the eternal judgment of God (Heb. 6:1)
-
We believe that we are called to make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit with other believers through the bond of peace. (Eph. 4:3)
-
Finally, we believe that our faith is summed up in the two great commandments, to love God and to love our neighbors as ourselves. (Mark 12:30)
