Statement of Faith

We believe . . .


- The Bible is the inspired Word of God and that faith comes by hearing the word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 10:17)

- There is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all. (1 Timothy 2:5-6)

- If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9, 1 John 4:15)

- We are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

- In the triune nature of the one and only God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. As John wrote: "For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one." (1 John 5:7)

- In the active work of the Holy Spirit in our time and the laying on of hands (Heb 6:1). "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."( John 7:38)

- In two essential sacraments: Holy Communion (Luke 22:19) and water baptism (Matthew 3:15, 28:19)

- In the resurrection of the dead and the eternal judgment of God (Hebrews 6:1)
We are called to make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit with other believers through the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:3)

- We have an obligation to evangelize, as Jesus said: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20)

- In the restoration of Israel in our day and their eventual restoration to the Lord through faith in Yeshua haMaschiach (Jesus Christ). (Romans 11)

- Finally, we believe that our faith is summed up in the two great commandments, to love God and to love our neighbors as ourselves. (Mark 12:30)
