Worship

"Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God." Psalm 50:23

Jesus said: " But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:23-24

At Reach Out For Christ, we love to worship the Lord in spirit and truth, just as Jesus said. Often, people think of "worship" as singing hymns and spiritual songs, but the first act of worship recorded in Scripture was an act of sacrifice, when Abraham offered his son Isaac to God. In other words, true worship invovles self-sacrifice and service to God. Worship without music is not only possible but far more important because it means we can worship anytime, anywhere in our hearts by humbly serving others in Jesus' Name.

The Bible tells us God dwells in the praises of His people. (Psalm 22:3) True worship occurs when we sense God's presence in our praises and we sense his response. Praise God often. Offer thanks to him for what you have, whether it's a little or a lot.

Please join us Sundays, Wednesdays and the fourth Tuesday of every month to worship in spirit and in truth. If you don't feel you know how to worship, come anyway and learn. It's part of your inheritance as a child of God, adopted through Jesus Christ.
